Lots of people have asked me if Tora will return in book two. Actually, I do have another adventure in mind, in which Tora will play a significant role. For the time being, though, I can’t help feeling that Tora has been through enough and that we should leave her in peace for a while to come to terms with what has happened, get her life back together again and build a future for herself and her family.
So, sometime soon, I hope to introduce you to Clara Benning, a 27 year old veterinary surgeon who leads a sheltered, almost reclusive, existence close to the coast on the Devon/Dorset border. For reasons you’ll discover, Clara doesn’t do life. She hides herself away, avoiding attention, spending her days with wild animals and fearing her own kind above all else. But as Clara is about to learn, it really doesn’t matter where or how well you hide, because life (and death) has a strange habit of seeking you out...
